Overview
                                    - A burr hole procedure in brain surgery allows further medical procedures to be performed including brain pressure reduction and removal of blood clots and tumors. The site of burr hole with bone damage must then be covered and fixated by a burr cap. Unfortunately current burr cap interferes with medical imaging, cannot be replaced by autologous bone and can induce autoimmune infection, leading to clinical issues including poor osseointegration and poor post-surgery follow-up.
 - Our team developed a 3D printed bio-ceramic burr cover with an interconnected bionic bone structure that is uniquely biodegradable, such that when implanted can provide mechanical support fixation, and with time be biodegraded to be replaced with autologous bone, supporting a best clinical practice of osseointegration.
 - Provides a burr hole cover that is with biomechanical strength and supports osseointegration. Will continue to demonstrate greater clinical value by developing products for large bone defect.

Development Process
In the incubation grant period, complete product dimensions and functional specification testing, biocompatibility and efficacy testing in animals.
