Overview

  • PAOD patients are confronted with a death rate of 46% within five years. In order to survive, an average nearly 27% of them need to undergo amputation surgery within one year.
  • The team has thus developed a novel delivery system for the cell therapy of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Bolster cell retention and vascular regeneration.

Development Process

Over the course of this project under the Applied Research Incubation Program, the team completed prototyping an intramuscular injector device and an all-in-one cell isolation kit and secured positive results from functionality assays and animal tests.
